BUSINESS LEADERS OF THE COMMUNITY (BLOC) is a business networking organization which gathers together like-minded professionals from different walks of life to grow their businesses while giving back to the community that supports them. In the process of networking, we become close allies, friends, comrades, who support each other with leads and referrals for their various professions while being a philanthropic organization.

BLOC was founded in September 2006 by a group of professionals based in Northern Virginia, currently making up the first chapter. Right now, we are in the process of expanding the group to other areas, and we encourage business professionals who share our ideas of helping each other grow our businesses by means of referrals, while embarking on philantrophic projects to give back to our community to contact us about starting your own BLOC networking group.

Our networking meetings are held on a monthly basis in a casual environment, thus not taking too much valuable time out of our respective workdays while making the gatherings more fun to attend. Nobody likes a stiff, formal atmosphere! Our meetings are relaxed, yet productive.

Each meeting features a guest speaker, and we often bounce ideas around to help each other improve our reach to new customers. Referrals are also exchanged and tracked at our meetings.
